CLAIMS ASSISTANT

Aegis Security Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Aegis Security, Inc., is seeking a full-time Claims Assistant to join its Property & Casualty Claims team at its headquarters in Harrisburg, PA. This position is newly created due to business growth.

The Claims Assistant will assist claims staff as necessary by providing customer service for claimants and other departmental support services such as:
• Answering phone calls from claimants.
• Opening and distributing mail.
• Making copies, scanning, and filing.
• Data entry in multiple systems.
• Drafting correspondence.
• Making travel arrangements.
• Creating forms.
• Running reports.

Ideally, the Claims Assistant will have:
• A high school diploma. Some post-high school education is preferred but not required.
• 2-5 years’ office work experience, with property/casualty insurance and/or customer service experience a plus.
• Track record of reliable attendance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime occasionally.
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel, with Adobe Pro and/or AS400 experience a plus.
• Typing speed of 60 wpm.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Aegis Security Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Aegis Security, Inc., is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join its Surety team at its headquarters in Harrisburg, PA.
The Administrative Assistant will work primarily providing support services for the Surety Department’s Commercial Surety Bonds division.

Main responsibilities include:
• Processing cancellation and reinstatement notices.
• Running credit reports and background checks.
• Entering and billing new bonds.
• Data entry in multiple systems.
• Making copies, scanning, and filing.

Ideally, the Administrative Assistant will have:

• A high school diploma. Some post-high school education is preferred but not required.
• 2-5 years’ office work experience, with experience in surety or related field a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Aegis Security Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Aegis Security, Inc., is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join its Accounting team at its headquarters in Harrisburg, PA.

Main responsibilities include:
• Processing accounts receivable.
• Processing accounts payable, including expense reports.
• Assisting with monthly commission statements.
• Preparing premium tax returns.
• Assisting the Controller with special projects as needed.


The ideal Accounting Assistant will have:

• High school diploma.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or at least 3 years’ accounting experience that includes A/P.
• Familiarity with working in a multi-company environment.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

PROPERTY CLAIMS EXAMINER

Aegis Security Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Aegis Security, Inc., is seeking a full-time Property Claims Examiner to join its Claims team. This position will be home-based and will include responsibility for claims management in Harrisburg, PA, Philadelphia, PA; Dallas, TX or Houston, TX.

Main responsibilities include:
• Responding to claim calls and emails from agents and claimants.
• Determining if coverage applies for claims reported.
• Interviewing claimants and witnesses.
• Assisting with setting claim reserves.
• Negotiating claim settlements.


The ideal Property Claims Examiner will have:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or insurance-related major.
• PCLA or SCLA designation.
• At least 5 years’ property claims adjusting experience. Multi-Line experience a plus.
• Familiarity with multiple states’ statutory requirements regarding claims adjudication.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Flexibility for occasional business travel.
